INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM IN PELVIC HEALTH

The Health & Continence Institute offers a two day intensive training seminar at the Hotel Northampton, in Northampton, Massachusetts.  This certificate program provides the tools necessary for immediate start-up of a bladder health program to improve thee quality of life for those afficted with incontinence. 

MODEL:The  Pelvic Health Focus can be implemeneted in either a hospital, independent  situation, within a clinical practice or in the long term care environment.

TITLE: Comprehensive bladder and pelvic health

GOAL: This premier program will enhance the clinical competency and skills of clinicians interested in pelvic health.  

A certificate will be awarded at the end of the program.

OBJECTIVES OF SEMINAR:

To Provide:

• Creative marketing approaches and identification of target populations.
• Tips to provide the proper documentation for optimal reimbursement.
• Provision of 30-50 customizable templates for use and including educational handouts and practice forms.
• A detailed approach to the diagnosis of bladder dysfunction and supporting forms for documentation.
• Treatment protocols to document when to use pelvic floor rehabilitation, urodynamics, and cystoscopy
• Basic beginning education and training in the fitting of pessaries, how to perform pelvic floor rehabilitation, Potassium sensitivity test, simple CMG, and urodynamic
• Microscopy techniques to accurately diagnose and treat vaginal atrophism
• Assistance in which type of equipment to order
• Provision of customizable power point presentations for use in community outreach programs to both patients and providers

Cost: The seminar costs $10,000 per practice or hospital for up to two participants, for the two day course. 

 It turns out that it is the cost of 5 people who navigate through a pelvic health program.

Contact Hours: There will be 16 contact hours for NP's ANCC
