THE SEMINAR CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

The Health & Continence Institute offers a two day intensive training seminar at the center in South Deerfield Massachusetts.  This certificate program provides the tools necessary for immediate start-up of an exciting and lucrative bladder health program which enhances the quality of life for those afficted with incontinence. 

MODEL:The continence care program can be implemeneted in either a independent situation, within a clinical practice or in the long term care environment.

TITLE: The Establishment, Marketing, and Management of a Comprehensive Bladder and Pelvic Health Program or Center. 

GOAL:To provide a multifaceted approach to the establishment, marketing, and management of a comprehensive bladder and pelvic health program.  This premier program will enhance the clinical competency and skills of clinicians interested in bladder health.  This will result in a center of excellence in pelvic health.

OBJECTIVES OF SEMINAR: 

To Provide:

• Creative marketing approaches and identification of target populations.
• Tips to provide the proper documentation for optimal reimbursement.
• Provision of 30-50 customizable templates for use and including educational handouts and practice forms.
• A detailed approach to the diagnosis of bladder dysfunction and supporting forms for documentation.
• Treatment protocols to document when to use pelvic floor rehabilitation, urodynamics, and cystoscopy
• Basic beginning education and training in the fitting of pessaries, how to perform pelvic floor rehabilitation, Potassium sensitivity test, simple CMG, and urodynamics
• Tips on grant writing.
• Microscopy techniques to accurately diagnose and treat vaginal atrophism
• Assistance in which type of equipment to order
• Provision of customizable power point presentations for use in community outreach programs to both patients and providers

The seminars are based on a ten step approach to the diagnosis and management of incontinence.  A detailed outline of the content presented is found under Objective of Learning Modules

Cost: The seminar costs $1850 per participant for the two day course.  If a second participant from the same office attends, there will be a discount of $500 applied to the second person.  It turns out that it is the cost of a half a person who naviagates through a bladder health program.
